TESTIMONIALS

I believe in Catholic education and its value to our young people and their families. I am a product of Catholic education having attended St. Mary's in St. Clair, Nativity BVM High School and the Allentown College of Saint Francis de Sales. I particularly believe in the quality of education here at St. Stephen Regional. Our teachers are qualified professionals who educate the whole child: academically, socially, and morally. It is so important in the world today that children receive a value-based education because so many influences in our society are barraging them continuously with contradictory views. Catholic education here at St. Stephen Regional is worth the sacrifice for both parents and teachers.

I will never forget my very positive experience at St. Stephen School. I was encouraged by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, lay teachers and Father McNamara that I could be whatever I chose to be as long as I put my mind to it. The valuable guidance and discipline helped me develop great qualities and made me become more Christ-like.
I graduated from St. Stephen School in 1967. Today I have had the opportunity to send my three children to St. Stephen Regional School and I have seen them encouraged to be more caring, kind and Christ-like by the wonderful Sisters of the Immaculate Heart, lay teachers and Father McNamara. I hope they, too, will be able to express their gratitude for all the wonderful experiences they have received at St. Stephen Regional School.

I am a parent of a child presently attending St. Stephen Regional School. My son is a graduate of St. Stephen Regional and presently attends Nativity BVM High School. My children both started their elementary edcation at St. Mary School in St. Clair. I myself am a 1968 graduate of St. Mary's.
In looking back my children were the fourth generation to attend St. Mary's. Perhaps it goes without saying that many of our family values are based on a Catholic education.

As a former graduate of St. Stephen School I now have two of my own children attending, with two others being graduates of St. Stephen Regional. I feel Catholic schools cover all the basic education courses and also teach the children how to live in the real world.

When I graduated from St. Stephen School in 1984 I knew I wanted to be an educator. I never dreamed that I'd be teaching at my alma mater one day! I'm very proud to be a teacher in such a fine school where we are dedicated to teaching the whole child - spiritual, academic and social.
I have very fond memories of my years at St. Stephen and I only hope that I can do for my students what St. Stephen's and its teachers have done for me.

I graduated from St. Stephen Elementary School in June, 1974. My parents did a positive thing when they sent my brothers and I to St. Stephen School. The ideals of Catholic education, intellectual integrity, good citizenship and equal opportunity were some of the qualtities instilled in us. Both faith in God and academic achievement were stressed. We, the students, shared many common values. We were taught respect, responsibility, honesty, kindness, sportsmanship, loyalty and more. Our teachers were role models.
Incidentally, my oldest son graduated from St. Stephen Regional School in 1995 and my other two sons are presently enrolled.

St. Stephen Regional School is a tradition for my family. My father, Jospeh L. Bobby, sister, Anne Bobby Kuntzleman, brother, Joseph F. Bobby and myself have all attended SSRS. our education there has been most positive and has thoroughly prepared us for the responsibility of adult life. SSRS has provided the foundation for our academic accomplishments, work ethic, and appreciation for life.
Today my children continue the tradition as students at SSRS where academics and christian values are of the utmost importance for the successful development of life skills. The "quality of life" can be developed at SSRS.

ST. STEPHEN'S . . . THEN AND NOW

My children attend St. Stephen Regional School just like I did. Some of the same teachers are even still there! The caring, qualified, strict teachers dedicate their time and effort on preparing our children to meet the challenges of high school and beyond. Not only do our children learn about science and math, but also about respecting others, saying I'm sorry and being honest and kind. The teachers enforce what my husband and I teach our children at home. The strict discipline code at St. Stephen's is one of the major reasons that we send our children to a Catholic School. The spiritual enrichment, supportive family involvement, the dress code and an excellent CYO sports program are among other reasons. I trust St. Stephen's staff to bring out the best in my children and lead them to Nativity the same way they did for me way back when.
