Operation P.L.U.S. (Positive Learning Under Supervision) is an alternative education and treatment program located in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, USA.  Our goal is to help students from Schuylkill County who are experiencing challenges in school, in their personal lives, or within their families.
 

Operation P.L.U.S. was started in 1980 as a truancy prevention program by the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit and the  Schuylkill County social service agencies.  Since then, we have expanded into two programs - Partial Hospitalization and Day Treatment.  The education component is provided by the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29, while the counseling/treatment is provided by a contract with The Meadows of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania.

The Partial Hospitalization program accepts students who receive psychiatric and education services at the program.  The Day Treatment program provides counseling and education services to students who are referred by the school districts, social service agencies, and the juvenile court system.

The Schuylkill County Children & Youth Agency, together with Mental Health / Mental Retardation Agency, and the twelve member school districts of the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit, fund both programs.

Psychiatric, counseling and therapy services are currently provided through a contract with The Meadows.

The programs are located at the Schuylkill Career & Technology Center in Mar-Lin, PA.
