My name is Theresa Woznicki and I've been in the Writing Club for four years now. We did many fun activities which I still remember to this day. I'm very glad with my choice of clubs because it was a good experience for me through the years.
The Terrible Loss
A tragic time, the other morn',
Thousands of lives were ripped and torn,
As evil's breath swept over the Nation,
A terrible disaster towards all creation.
The once famous towers,
That stood firm and tall,
Were destroyed by the hours,
As downward they did fall.
We will forever remember the people
Who have died,
As we turn to our flag,
That is held toward the sky.

In-School Shootings
The nightmares that surround me
Are etched into my mind.
How tragic life can be
When people act so blind.
I seem to dread the future
Not knowing how to cope
With life's endless journeys
That bring us fear or hope.
What to think when informed
That a life has just been taken
The memories they must endure
Their mind must've been mistaken.

Theresa read poetry at the Pearl Harbor Day Celebration in Minersville this year.
