Kindergarten
Mrs. Louise Kadingo has a long affiliation with St. Ambrose parish and school and she was one of several people instrumental in setting up our pre-school program. Mrs. Kadingo is very familiar with children, having raised four of her own with her husband, Charles. She is a graduate of Marywood College with a degree in Elementary Ed. and has continued to update her education by taking supplementary courses.

Grade One
Mrs. Dawn Edwards, a graduate of Ohio University in 1973, has a degree in Elementary Education. She is married to Jack and they have three children (Ashley, Graham and Brittany). Mrs. Edwards, as well, has continued to update her credentials by taking continuing education courses. She enjoys teaching our first grade students.

Grade Two
Mrs. Miriam Tirjan has been a teacher at St. Ambrose since 1983. She received her B.A. degree from Alvernia College in 1983 in Elementary Education. Mrs. Tirjan is married to Mike and they work hard everyday on their farm taking care of their animals. She is very involved in 4H activities as well. In addition, she has taken many graduate courses in the educational field. Mrs. Tirjan firmly believes in all of her students abilities and together they work hard to achieve their goals.

Grade Three
Mr. Eugene Lehigh is another "institution" at St. Ambrose School. Coming on board in 1976, he has been a strong male role model for our students. In 1975, he received his B.S. in Elementary Ed from East Stroudsburg College. He has pursued continuing education credits from many universities especially in the math, science and computer arenas. In addition to the regular third grade curriculum, Mr. Lehigh must prepare his students for reception of First Communion and the Sacrament of First Penance. He also teaches the 8th grade Algebra program. Many of his former students remember Mr. Lehigh very fondly. He enjoys joking with his students and helping them to learn. Gene is married and has two children.

Grade Four
Mrs. Kathleen Reedy was hired in 1986 and we haven't let go of her since. Always upbeat, she could best be described as a "nurturer" of her students. At the fourth grade level, this is the first time students will be participating in the Science Fair and she truly guides her students every step of the way on their class-wide project. Kathleen is married to Robert and they have two children. In 1977, she received her B.A. degree from Marywood College in Elementary Education. The list of continuing education courses she has taken is extensive.

Grade Five
Mrs. Maryanne Rohrer, another backbone of our school since 1986, is a graduate of Penn State with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She resides in Schuylkill Haven with her husband, Tim. She has one son. Mrs. Rohrer continues to update her credentials by taking graduate courses. She is an avid reader and encourages her students through creative writing exercises designed to let them express themselves. Maryanne also is responsible for their monthly visits to Rest Haven where they interact with residents.

Grade Six
Mrs. Maria Wassell is a graduate of Kutztown State College. In 1968, she received her B.S. and, in 1972, she was awarded her M.Ed. both in Elementary Education. Mrs. Wassell has been a teacher at our school since 1982. In that time, she has earned many other credits at various institutions in her field. She spends many hours with our students in her role as Student Council Co-moderator. In addition to her role as 6th Grade teacher, Mrs. Wassell teaches Language Arts to the 3rd Graders. Maria also pursues many hobbies and interests including traveling to other countries. She has two grown children.

Grade Seven
Mr. Stephen Kulich has taught at our school since 1974. He holds a B.S. in Elementary Ed from Penn State University and has many graduate courses in addition. Steve is married to Deborah and they have two children. Mr. Kulich is a vocal advocate for sports and science programs in our parish. He is the coordinator of the Science Fair and a Co-moderator for Student Council. It is Mr. Kulich's involvement, positive attitude
and likability that his many, many students remember from their days at St. Ambrose.
