The Mystery of the Rich Guy
There was once a very poor man who lived where a very kind and generous king ruled. This man's name was Earl Sandwich. He had a job but he made very little money.
One day, the king heard of this man's kindness, so the king sent some of his men to give Earl some money. Earl accepted the money. With it, he went on many, many voyages to and from the Silk Road.
During these adventures, he met a beautiful girl and got married, but then he got a deadly virus. He set off to find a doctor who could cure the virus. While he was away, the girl got better and left the island. When he found out, he started looking for her. When he found her, she was wed to one of the king's knights named Don.
He returned to the island, where his empty, dark house lay with red curtains completely still and silent.
Dusk fell upon the dark, silent town.
While Earl sat alone, he thought of all the things he could buy. He made a list . . . silk, spices, couch, pool, lawn chair. The next day, Earl went and got everything he would need in his life and he is now known as The Rich Guy.
Now his old wife is the sorry one.
