The purpose of the Advisory Board is to establish general policies pertaining to St. Ambrose School. The board is advisory in nature for suggesting general policies and shall be responsible for implementing any policies issued by the Diocesan Board of Education. Any local policies must comply with the policies established by the Diocesan Board of Education. A partial list of other duties and responsibilities include:

1. Help to coordinate and support the religious, spiritual and academic programs of the school.
2. Identify the school's long range needs and prepare goals to respond to those needs.
3. Determine local policies relating to the planning, operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
4. Encourage student recruitment, school publicity and seek general support of the school from the parish and local communities.
5. Review and approve the annual budget for the school and establish policies concerning fiscal matters which are not determined by the Diocese of Allentown.
6. Cooperate with Parent Council in support of Catholic education.
7. Support the school administration in obtaining any governmental and/or privately funded programs.
